Best Buy Ads Names Patrick Albano as Chief Revenue Officer
Veteran revenue leader joins to accelerate growth of Best Buy's retail media network.
Best Buy Ads today announced the appointment of Patrick Albano as SVP, Best Buy Ads Chief Revenue Officer, a new role responsible for leading the commercial growth and strategic development of Best Buy's retail media network.
Albano brings more than 15 years of senior revenue leadership experience across programmatic advertising, retail media, and digital commerce. In his new role, Albano will oversee Best Buy Ads' sales organization, including client partnerships, agency, programmatic and third-party marketplace.
Why Best Buy Ads, Why Now?
Best Buy's audience of tech enthusiasts and high-consideration buyers at scale represents one of retail media's most valuable and differentiated consumer segments: people who research carefully, spend meaningfully, and return repeatedly.
“This is an exciting moment in time for consumer electronics given the current refresh cycle with innovation accelerating and AI coming to life across devices, and Best Buy is uniquely positioned to help consumers navigate what's new in technology,” Albano said. "For marketers, that's a rare opportunity to reach high-intent and high-value audiences in genuinely new ways. Best Buy Ads delivers differentiated in-store and digital experiences combined with the ability to connect every dollar to real business outcomes. I couldn't be more excited to partner with the world's leading brands through this evolution."
In his new role, Albano will be responsible for ensuring that value is fully realized for brand and agency partners through Best Buy Ads' suite of on-site, off-site, and in-store media solutions.
A Proven Revenue Leader
Albano joins Best Buy Ads from The Trade Desk, where as Vice President of Global Sales he led enterprise sales across the U.S. and Canada, developing and executing retail media partnerships with Walmart Connect and other major global retailers, helping brands connect media investment to measurable online and offline sales outcomes.
Prior to The Trade Desk, Albano served as Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer at BLADE, where he led all revenue-generating functions and helped position the company for its IPO. He previously held senior revenue leadership roles at Yahoo across the U.S. and EMEA, and earlier in his career built the revenue organization at Citizen Sports from the ground up, leading to the company's acquisition by Yahoo.
